Airbnb supplies checklist

Check whether the property is genuinely ready for the guests and amenities described in the listing.

Short answer

Mark each supply ready, missing, due for replacement or not applicable. The result puts essential gaps first without pretending every rental needs the same products or quantities.

Property setup

Check against the published listing, maximum occupancy, stay pattern and local requirements.

Capacity and stay length are review prompts, not automatic quantity recommendations. Longer stays may require a restocking or mid-stay service plan rather than excessive arrival stock.

Start with essentials and advertised amenities

Airbnb identifies toilet paper, soap, one towel and pillow per guest, and linens for every guest bed as essential amenities. More importantly, every amenity represented in the listing must actually be available. Separate required readiness from optional comforts instead of treating every property as the same shopping list.

Continue the workflow: Track recurring quantities and replacements

Questions hosts ask before acting

What supplies should an Airbnb have?

Start with safe sleeping, bathroom, kitchen, arrival and advertised-amenity essentials for the property’s actual capacity. Local rules and listing promises may add requirements.

Does this checklist recommend brands?

No. It contains no affiliate links or product rankings. Choose durable, maintainable items appropriate to the property.

How is this different from the inventory template?

This checklist audits setup readiness. The inventory template tracks quantities, shortages and condition over time.

Should optional amenities be marked missing?

Use not applicable when an amenity is neither advertised nor needed. Never mark an advertised feature optional after a guest has booked.

Does the checklist replace a safety inspection?

No. Use qualified local guidance for fire, gas, pool, electrical, accessibility and other regulated safety requirements.

Keep setup and recurring stock separate

Use this checklist to establish readiness, then move recurring counts into the inventory worksheet and turnover execution into the cleaning checklist.
